We enjoy using Sunshine Online to help us become better readers.
We have been learning about respect and how we can show it in our daily lives. Our writing shares different ways we can be respectful, like including others, listening, and taking care of our belongings.
These ‘bee-autiful’ bees remind us to always ‘bee’ kind and respectful!
We read The Rainbow Fish and learned about kindness and sharing. Our colourful fish art shows how each of us is unique and special, just like the characters in the story!
In Room 2, we have been learning to introduce ourselves using a pepeha. A pepeha is a traditional Māori way of sharing who we are and where we come from.
This term, our Inquiry focus has been on the Tamaki River. We’ve explored the stories the awa shares and learned about its history before and after settlement. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed learning about the river and look forward to discovering even more about our local area.
For our Week 8 assembly, we performed a Samoan Siva! It was so much fun learning and practising the moves throughout the term. We hope you enjoy watching our performance!
Today for our Cybersmart lesson we created our own flags. We had to take a photo of ourselves and then insert into our flag. Our other activity was to match the flags on our projects to their country. Dominic was one of the first students to finish his project. Well done Dominic.
Rooms 2 and 3 have been exploring water safety and swimming. We’ve put together a film to share the exciting adventures we had in the pool.
We hope you enjoy watching!
Today in Flying Fives we enjoyed drawing and designing our Easter eggs .
